The Board of Directors at Pets Lifeline has announced the appointment of Nancy King as executive director of the nonprofit organization which rescues and shelters animals in the Sonoma Valley.
King had been serving as acting executive director since November, when previous executive director Desiree Stinson stepped down from the position. King first began working at Pets Lifeline in 2009, when she was hired as the administrative director.
New Behavior Manager at Sonoma Humane Society
Suzanne Kernek has been named the Director of Behavior and Training at the Sonoma Humane Society in Santa Rosa. Kernek, of Occidental, was most recently a staff member of the Behavior and Training Department at the Marin Humane Society in Novato. Kernek will be in charge of overseeing the training program at the shelter plus evaluating animals being placed for adoption. Kernek replaces Henry Sneed, who left the shelter in January.
Pit Day at Sonoma County
A Pit Bull Adopt-a-thon is being held by Sonoma County Animal Care and Control on Thursday, March 17th. The adoption for Pit Bulls will be just $25 for the St. Patrick’s Day event.
